A cattle ranch in southeast Saskatchewan has been fined $25,000 for failing to uphold reasonable safety standards after a 21-year-old worker drowned on the job in 2023.

The Ramage Land & Cattle Company Ltd. pleaded guilty in Regina provincial court on Aug. 12 to one violation of the Occupational Health and Safety Regulations, the province said in a Friday news release.
